Meet Yuri Cho

Hi, I'm a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist and Brainstorm's Feeding Specialist.

I'm so glad you're here.

Yuri's Story

I'm a Korean-American SLP who speaks English, Korean, and Spanish — so your child can be met in the language that feels most like home. I have extensive experience working with children and young adults ages 0–18, and I'm dedicated to building meaningful connections with every family I serve.

My Credentials

  • Certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)

  • Licensed in Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, and North Carolina

  • BS in Psychology — University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

  • MS in Speech and Hearing Sciences — University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

My Experience & Training

  • Expressive and receptive language disorders

  • Articulation and phonological disorders

  • Childhood apraxia of speech

  • AAC (Augmentative & Alternative Communication)

  • Feeding disorders

  • Trained in Gestalt Language Processing (GLP)

  • Trained in Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC) for childhood apraxia of speech

My approach

Neurodiversity-affirming, play-based, and child-led — I follow your child's lead, join their world, and provide collaborative, culturally responsive care.

A little more about me: I grew up near Atlanta, Georgia. In my free time, I love spending time with my partner and our two cats, exploring local coffee shops and restaurants, and going on walks.

I'm excited to be part of the Brainstorm team — and to work alongside your family to make a difference.
