Irene's Story
I'm a Colombian-American bilingual SLP with 19 years of experience working with children and young adults. I believe every child deserves to be truly known — not processed or standardized, but understood. That belief is why I built Brainstorm as an intentionally small, personal practice.

A little more about me: I'm originally from Bogotá, Colombia. I began my career in New York City, where I fell in love with cultural diversity and the power of an interdisciplinary approach. In 2015, I moved to Northern Virginia, where I sharpened my collaborative, family-centered way of working before founding Brainstorm.
In my spare time, I release energy in my spinning classes, lean into my creative side while cooking, and love life with Rana, my partner and the love of my life. I enjoy reading thrillers and am honestly obsessed with my local library. I decompress with Netflix and chill with my dog. I swear I have a green thumb. And always — Colombia, arepas y Chocoramo. Spanglish is my love language: it's how I truly connect mi mente con mi corazón.
I'd love to meet you and learn about your child.
